Kreinbacher – Somló

The Estate was founded by József Kreinbacher who acquired the first vineyards in 2002. Since then, the replanting of vines as well as development of viticulture have been continuous in order to create wines expressing the character of the unique terroir.

The indigenous Juhfark is named after the shape of the bunches – literally ‘sheep’s tail’. Whole bunch pressed, then 60% of the wine is elaborated in stainless steel tanks with the remainder fermenting in 500-2500 litre wooden casks followed by eight months of ageing.
