The Aberlour distillery is situated in the heart of Speyside at the base of Ben Rinnes and was founded in 1826. The name Aberlour is Gaelic for 'the mouth of the babbling brook'. Aberlour's use of well-seasoned sherry casks is what makes them a firm favourite on our shelves.
Aberlour A’Bunadh Cask Strength
61.6% abv
Vol- 70cl
Released only in small batches and matured exclusively in single cask Spanish Olorosso sherry butts, Aberlour a’bunadh is bottled at cask strength and without the use of modern chill-filering methods ensuring a dark, luxurious and rich whisky. Hints of oak and toffee on the nose with a tinge of mint and spice. The palate is full and rich with a dry oiliness, much more spice and some butterscotch. Opens up considerably with a drop of water. The finish is rich and full with a lovely dry linger.
