Nose: Fresh green apples and pears, strawberries, and soft oak spice.
Palate: Silky and rich, with layers of orchard fruits, creamy vanilla and a touch of caramel sweetness.
Finish: Long and elegant with lingering strawberries, gentle spice and more caramel.

This eight year old whisky from Annandale Distillery has been matured in a STR (Shaved, Toasted, Recharred) cask, a process that enhances both richness and complexity. Cask #335 has imparted notes of green apple, pear and strawberry on the nose. The palate is rich and silky, opening into orchard fruits, vanilla and a touch of caramel. A long finish brings back the strawberry, with gentle spice and lingering sweetness. The whisky’s mouthfeel is beautifully rich and smooth, delivering a refined yet expressive dram.

The distillery was originally built in 1830 by George Donald, a former excise officer from Banff in Aberdeenshire. He chose the site for building the distillery as there was a pre-existing clearing in the woods with a plentiful water source, which is essential for both the production of whisky, and to power the water wheel which would run the internal grain mill for the barley. The abundance of peat in the area meant that George Donald could fuel the kiln for the malted grain by using locally sourced peat from peat bogs just three miles away. The damp and mild climate was also perfect for the maturation of the whisky, in the original bonded warehouse which George Donald built on the site. The beautiful and iconic pink sandstone was locally quarried to build the distillery and dunnage warehouse. The region is famous for this uniquely coloured stone, which can be seen in many other significant buildings nearby. The Distillery was closed in 1918 and was used for farming until 2007, when Professor David Thomson and Teresa Church bought the distillery site, and began an extensive restoration. It took a while but in 2014 the South of Scotland was once again producing fine Single Malt Scotch Whisky.The first bottling was in 2018.

What do I pay for delivery?

Orders under £150 are charged an initial £9.95 incl. VAT.

Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly.
Orders under £190 are charged an initial £12.00 incl.

All stock bought from Bond will be charged at delivery cost as quoted by the bond. As this varies dependent on the location of the wines and ultimate destination this will be quoted to you at the point of billing for VAT and duty.

And can we change order.

Deliveries are normally between 09.00 and 17.00 Tuesday to Friday and a signature is required on receipt of delivery. (We do not ship on a Friday for Monday delivery unless specifically requested to do so).

A shipping confirmation email will be sent when your order has been processed and shipped. You will be sent a further email and/or text with a delivery time slot and a consignment number along with instructions on how to amend this if required.

If you are out a card is left, with an instruction to call the local depot to re-arrange delivery. Alternatively, you can inform us to “leave safe”, “leave with a neighbour”, “leave in garage” etc. and we will pass this information onto the courier. Please remember that, in accordance with our Terms & Conditions, alcohol will only be left with persons over 18 Years Old.

We use Mailsafe packaging and double walled cardboard boxes for secure shipping of all bottles. Clear labelling marked FRAGILE is applied and all our despatches.

UK mainland deliveries are overnight from confirmation of despatch with the exception of the following postcodes where deliveries are made on a 2 to 5 day service from despatch :
