The Caprai Winery covers about 136 hectares in the area of Montefalco, Gualdo Cattaneo and Bevagna, which is the production zone of the DOC Montefalco and Grechetto dei Colli Martani as well as the DOCG Sagrantino di Montefalco.
The vines are exposed to a continental climate featuring warm summers and potentially dry and cold winters with occasionally some snow. The main white grape varieties grown in the estate include Grechetto, Chardonnay and Sauvignon, while Sagrantino is the leading red variety together with Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
