The Bodega was already founded in 1870 by a wine merchant named Pedro Luis Martinez. Located in Jumilla, the vineyard is still owned by the family and is run by the 4th generation. A large number of the vineyards are old and survived the phylloxera epidemic in the 80's. The wines are produced utilising innovative wine-making methods, such as cryo-maceration and the cellar is equipped with the latest technology, the wines being matured in cement tanks and barriques. The team based around oenologist Juan Miguel Benitez is very experienced and always anxious to produce high quality wines.
