An alternative label to the Cape Heights single variety South African range, 'Grand Cape' reflects the land where the grapes are sourced - the Western Cape, an area of cold coastal vineyards and warmer inland regions, stretching up to high mountain peaks. The style and flavour of each wine is maintained by adding a portion of the previous years wine to the current vintage. Wines are also kept on their fine lees until bottling to guarantee freshness.
Grand Cape Chardonnay 2019
Fruit is sourced from long-established vineyards on the Wellington/Swartland borders. Grapes are painstakingly hand-picked in the early morning to help keep them cool and fresh, and to preserve the perfumed jasmine notes and white stone fruit flavours. The wine is kept in contact with its lees to add breadth to the palate. Great with chicken and creamy pasta dishes. Brilliant value!
