Domaine Belleville was established in Rully at the beginning of the 20th century in the heart of wine-making Burgundy. With 22 hectares of vineyards spread out from north to south Burgundy, its wines express a diverse range of characteristics from both the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay varietals. Domaine Belleville was purchased in 2017 by an American couple and group of international friends and partners who have since also acquired the Champagne house Leclerc Briant and Manoir Murisaltien in Meursault.
Domaine Belleville Rully Blanc 1er Cru la Pucelle 2018
13.5% abv
Orchard fruits, textural and with a filigree of toasty green lift. Apples and stone fruits.
Founded a century ago in Rully, Domaine Belleville makes superb Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines from a fragmented patchwork of vineyards dotted throughout Burgundy. The 1er Cru La Pucelle comes from 40 year old vines situated on a stony, east facing site and spends 12 months in barrels, 25% of which are new. Richly textured, this honeyed, smoky and multi layered Rully shows impeccable balance.
