Owned by the Lord of Guers as from the 13th century, the Domaine de Castelnau has very ancient origins. Since 1997, the estate belongs to Béatrice and Christophe Muret, thus carrying on their wine-grower forefathers’ vocation. The grapes harvested at full maturity, the limited use of sulphites, the ageing on lees and the accumulated knowledge all give birth to fresh, smooth and characterful wines.

Bright light yellow color with green reflections The nose develops aromas of citrus zest and minerality Opens to reveal hints of passion fruit, slightly minty The attack is round, on candied citrus The mid-palate is ample The finish is elegantly iodized
Picpoul’s most famous incarnation is in the white wines of the Picpoul de Pinet AOC that bears its name. The variety’s ability to keep its acidity even in a hot, Mediterranean climate makes it the perfect choice for the region, making taut, full-bodied white wines with herbal and citrus aromas.
