Established in 1948, Douglas Laing is a proudly independent, family owned Scotch Whisky business in its third generation. Over 70 years of heritage have helped them to deliver Whisky that is consistently fantastic quality. As all good independent bottlers should, Douglas Laing add nothing to their bottles nor do they take anything away.
Douglas Laing Old Particular Grain Girvan 30 Years Old 1989
Aged for 30 years from December 1989 to March 2021, bottled at 51.5% and one of only 204 bottles. A real treat!
Nose: Treacle tart and buttered crumpet, with a whisper of spicy oak.
Palate: Red fruit notes begin to take shape – think strawberry and raspberry. Toasted brown sugar, nutmeg, a hint of cassia.
Finish: A long finish, with loads of vanilla-rich oak notes piling up.
