Established in 1948, Douglas Laing is a proudly independent, family owned Scotch Whisky business in its third generation. Over 70 years of heritage have helped them to deliver Whisky that is consistently fantastic quality. As all good independent bottlers should, Douglas Laing add nothing to their bottles nor do they take anything away.
Douglas Laing Provenance Royal Brackla 10 Years Old 2009
This is a 10 year old single malt from the Brackla Distillery (the first Scottish distillery to receive ‘royal’ status!), independently bottled by Douglas Laing. It was distilled back in March 2009 and left to age in a refill barrel for a decade, before being bottled in February 2020. Only 301 bottles were produced.
Nose: Bright and fruit-forward, with tangy pear, papaya and lemon.
Palate: The fruit notes are subdued somewhat on the palate, with barley and spicy oak moving to the fore.
Finish: Creamy vanilla sweetness sticks around on the finish.
