The Dugat family have been winegrowers in the Gevrey-Chambertin appellation since the beginning of the 17th century. Bernard Dugat and his son, Loîc are the 12th and 13th generation to exploit the unique knowledge of wine-making and working in the vines, which has been acquired over four centuries.

Dugat-Py Mazis Chambertin Grand Cru 2006
Vol- 75cl
A terrifically complex nose blends intense floral notes, especially rose petal, with spice, earthy red berry fruit and a distinct sauvage character that continues onto the serious and stunningly intense, indeed almost painfully so, powerful and full flavors blessed with ample dry extract that both coats and stains the palate on the firm and strikingly long finish. This is one forbidding wine at present with enormous potential but as the suggested drinking window implies, only for those who have the ability, and patience, to cellar it for 15 plus years. In sum, this is a beast that is incredibly impressive but not showy. 96 Burghound Drinking 2021+
