Héctor and Pablo were born in Mendoza, the cradle of wine, and grew up together in their family. Their childhood was linked to a sensory world, with aromas, ingredients and flavors that, over time, led them to choose the same professional path as winemakers. United by memories and the same passions, since 2002 they began their project as a small family winery and both became the spearhead for a new generation of winemakers who consolidated a path of evolution in Argentine viticulture. This is how the wines of the Durigutti brothers are born and that is how their own story begins, a family legacy in the place they chose to live and to work dedicatedly every day.
Durigutti PROYECTO Las Compuertas ‘Parral’ Criolla 2020
Land around Las Compuertas is so expensive these days because of real estate projects that not many people can afford to plant Criolla Chica. But this organic expression of the grape, aged in concrete eggs, is a delight, showing the concentration of its old vines from 1943 has sappy redcurrant and strawberry fruit and fine tannins. 2020-24 92 points – Tim Atkins
