Estampado Red Blend(GBO) 2021
12.5% abv
This wine marries the best of Mendoza’s widely planted cultivars. Grapes such as Bonarda, Cabernet and Malbec have long been favored in the Barrancas region and have been well suited to the warm dry climate. Whilst Malbec stole the limelight, lots of these vineyards have become older and produce excellent fruit. These grapes are co-fermented in stainless steel and then spend time in concrete where the tannin and acidity soften before the wine’s release.
With lifted aromatics and a bright, brambly palate this is a really appealling expression of a classic Mendozan blend. Bonarda is dark and juicy, freshened by the gently tart Cab with the aromatic lift of Malbec all making for a deliciously vibrant wine, which will pair well with pizzas, pasta dishes and grilled meats.
