FIB Port Dundas 22 Years Old Rivesaltes Ambre Finish

53.8% abv

Vol- 70cl

Permutations Series 1, Only 119 bottles. Whisky from a distillery that has been closed since 2011 when it was demolished as part of Diageo’s decision to focus on grain production elsewhere.
This makes our 22 year old experiment even more exciting as it showcases what could have been from one of Scotland’s lost distilleries.

TASTING NOTES
This dessert dram remains sweet, gaining from the cask a beautiful front palate of sweet lime creams (more the boiled sweet than the chocolate, but 2 things can be true).
Some orange oils follow, with the refrain of sweet white sugars following throughout.
Rich caramelised fruits also characterise the centre palate.
The finish is medium length, characterised by that sweet lime and a slight subtle spice.
The dram has got even more interesting, but equally delicious.
Think key-lime pie.

As independent bottlers, we buy whisky from many different distilleries, then carry out finishing and occasionally blending experiments to create something new and exciting.
The brainchild of two passionate whisky fans, with a dream of owning their own distillery, Fib Whisky is a celebration of our favourite drams, showcasing the finest single casks, our very own finishes and blended scotch whiskies.
We believe in emphasising provenance and working with full transparency, letting a dram speak for itself with:
No chill filtration
No additional dilution
No additional colouring

Our speciality is single casks spirits, but we also experiment and innovate with tradition and push the boundaries of flavour.
