Great British Vermouth Company Wermod Dry 18.7cl

16% abv

Vol- 18.7cl

Wermod takes Vermouth back to its roots. Crisp, clean, delightfully dry, it captures all the wonderful diversity of the Great British countryside in a bottle.

Vermouth was produced in Britain long before it became associated with the Alpine regions that are now the centre of the industry. The name “vermouth” is derived from the Anglo-Saxon word “wermód,” meaning “manly courage.”

Cold infusion helps to preserve the flavour and beneficial qualities of the 24 herbs and flowers. Completely natural with no sweeteners, colourings or other artificial additives are added.

Delicious chilled in a refreshing spritzer with soda or tonic (we prefer tonic, especially a sweeter one such as Fevertree). And for the perfect martini, as it is such a dry Vermouth, it pairs brilliantly with fruitier gins.

Michael Kaplan trained as a historian and has spent the last thirty years as a writer and film-maker. An abiding interest in the way food and drink shape human culture inspired him to revive the native British tradition of vermouth, both as a reflection of the richness of raw materials on this island and as a complement to the many great British gins. His mission is to make us all more aware of the riches growing beneath our feet – and what better way to showcase Britain’s botanical splendour than by putting it in a bottle?

Great British Vermouth is produced by hand, in small batches, on a farm overlooking the Forth Bridge.
It is the product of a shared enthusiasm for growing remarkable herbs and making delicious drinks.
