The Lafon family established this important domaine in the village of Milly-Lamartine in 1999, which now amounts to over 25 hectares, all farmed biodynamically. Vinification is mostly in foudres and demi-muids, though the domaine's Pouilly-Fuissé ferments in used 225-liter barrels, with élevage typically completed with a few months on the lees in stainless steel. Caroline Gon runs the estate, overseen by Dominique Lafon.
Heretiers Comte Lafon Macon-Milly-Lamartine 2018
“The 2018 Mâcon-Milly-Lamartine has a crisp bouquet of grass clippings and green apple fruit. The palate is well balanced with a fresh opening, a little oiliness coming through, and a lightly spiced finish. Enjoy this over the next 4–6 years.”
