Le Batistelle began in 2002, after many years of the Del Bosco family passing the fruit of their 9 ha of vineyard to a local co-operative. With holdings located in the territory of "Brognoligo" - and more precisely in the vicinity of Monte Castellaro, towards Le Battistelle, Valle delle Rugate, Tremenalto, Monte Grande, Monte Carbonare - these are some of the most traditional, pergola-trained, dry terraced parts of the Classico.
Le Battistelle Soave Classico Montesei 2016
Pale straw yellow colour, aromatic with hints of tropical fruits and white flowers. The palate the wine is broad, fresh, fruity and stylishly cloaked with a lively mineral flavour.
This wine comes from several small south-facing vineyards in the historic Soave Classico area and all its fruit is meticulously harvested by hand. The volcanic soils are also rich in clay and silt. The wine is fermented in Stainless Steel and spends around 4 months on its fine lees.
