Lochlea use barley from their own farm, distill, mature and bottle everything on-site at their farm distillery is Ayrshire. The distillery's current capacity is 200,000 LPA per year. Uisng a semi-lauter mash tun, 6 Douglas Fir wooden washbacks, 2 bespoke Forsyths stills, racked warehousing. Long fermentation time, High and narrow cut points, ensuring a distinctive new make spirit with body and bursting with fruit. The farm was home to Robert Burns between 1777 when he was 18 and 1784.

Nose: Sweet red berries, flowers in bud, chreey blossom, lemon peel, and soft smoke on the nose.
Taste: Salty sea smoke, fresh cut oak, bonfire char, light citrus, light delicate fruit, a hint of sherbert on the palate.
Finish: Light char, soft blossom, gentle to finish, and fresh phenols.
Smoke Without Fire brings something a little different to the table. Matured in ex-peated Islay casks and Red Wine casks.
