Lustau is one of the leading producers in Jerez. As well as producing their own sherries from the Solera Reserva range, Lustau has also pioneered the concept of Almacenista bottlings - choosing specific plots from the warehouses of small independent sherry maturers and bottling them separately.
Lustau Vermut NV
Lustau gets back a local tradition of producing vermouth with a Sherry base. Vermut Lustau is made with two sherry wines, Amontilado & Pedro Ximinez, carefully selected by the house enologist. These are aged separately in American oak casks for an average of 10 years in the “Solera y Criaderas” system.
The combination of these wines, each with its flavours, aromas and traits, will contribute to build the unique personality of this vermouth. More than ten botanicals, including sage, gentian, coriander & wormwood are used to infuse the finished liquid with its complex bouquet and taste.
Mahogany in color with reddish glints. The Sweet aromas of ripe fruit are laced with citric and herbal notes over a smoky wood background. In the palate it is velvety, flavorful and balanced. Bitter finish delicately accompanied by a distinctive nutty aftertaste.
