Roda Roda I Blanco 150cl 2019

14.5% abv

Vol- 150cl

Very intense, full of nuanced detail. Citrus notes reminiscent of the aroma of grapefruit skin, quince and the sensation of white-fleshed peach. A very fine floral note stands out, which is related to fresh elderflower. The whole is very fresh and the citric and slightly bitter side stand out over the corpulence of the white-fleshed peach that forms the base. It also recalls the complex freshness of the vegetal and fruity aroma of rhubarb. It is very original and pairs mineral sensations that connect it to the limestone land. The oak is impeccably assembled. Minerals, limestone – long and vibrant.

Mostly Viura and a small part of Malvasía de Rioja and Garnacha Blanca. From the old vineyards – in the highest and poorest parts of the vineyards were planted with Viura, with some vines of Malvasía de Rioja and Garnacha Blnca. Maceration in French oak vats. Fermentation in French oak vats and bocoys. 18 months in French oak bocoys and 18 months in bottle before release.

BODEGAS RODA is located in the edge of the river Ebro, in a balcony of the Railway Station District (Barrio de la Estación) in Haro, La Rioja, over a XIX century “calado”. The vine growers used to use it to stock their harvests, that would be, subsequently, sent to Bordeaux by train to mitigate the damages caused by phylloxera.

RODA was founded in 1987 and its facilities have been adapted to the needs of each time and the pace of development, growing structurally in four phases developed in 1991, 1996, 2000 and 2018. All have been carried out according to the challenges of each time, the 2018 - which has just been concluded- had an energy objective in line with to the 21st century: optimizing energy efficiency and using renewable energies.
