Smith and Sheth CRU Heretaunga Albarino 2019

14% abv

Pale straw coloured with refreshing lemon, lime and ripe nectarine characters. Flavours of honeysuckle and stonefruit mingle with a subtle saltiness that provides a savoury taste to the wine. Rich and full bodied yet fresh with mouth-watering crisp acidity giving great balance, length and structure.

“A voluptuous Albariño that caresses the palate with its silken texture and its heady peach and apricot flavors. There’s plentiful concentration and mouthcoating texture, and an attractive salty note on the finish. The acidity is gently refreshing rather than crisp in this ripe expression. My only minor grumble is the slight warmth from the 14% alcohol on the conclusion. Drink in youth to enjoy its aromatic blossom.” 2020 – 2022
