Tenuta Ulisse, a modern expression of a centuries-old tradition of passion and dedication to the land, is one of Abruzzo’s premier winemaking estate. It has dived into the enormous potential of Abruzzo’s unique terroir and ancient varieties by placing a contemporary spin on indigenous grapes such as Montepulciano D’Abruzzo, Trebbiano D’Abruzzo, Pecorino, Passerina and Cococciola.
Tenuta Ulisse Cococciola Unico 2014
Cococciola, a Terre di Chieti IGT. Apparently it is a white indigenous grape from Abruzzo which is being resuscitated. It has aromas of apricot, floral notes and other stone fruits. I enjoyed its lovely minerality and lively acidity.
