Gipfel means summit in German, and also gives its name to this super juicy double dry hopped pale ale. Edinburgh’s own Top Out are no stranger to USA hops and can quite skillfully craft beers with big flavour, this one uses Idaho7 and Mosaic hops.

Top Out Brewery is based in a small brew house just outside Edinburgh, combining Scottish and German brewing influences with the worlds best beer styles and ingredients to create great tasting, original beers. When not brewing, the brew team are likely to be found clinging to a rock face and each of the labels shows a different map of a mountain with a route to its summit. The head brewer has 'Topped Out' on all of them.

"At the moment the Top Out brewery is a very modest operation by anyone's standards; Just 2 blokes brewing, bottling, labelling and distributing. But small, doesn't mean amateur and they have shown a degree of professionalism increasingly rare in an industry bursting at the seams with tyros, hotshots & wannabes. The beers are also beautifully packaged, with snazzy, OS inspired designs and clear informative labels, thankfully free of the cocky, macho, bulls**t that seems to be the lingua franca of modern brewing." - Bite Magazine
