Tri Carragh, "Gaelic for three pillars" is a celebration of the three core ingredients of Whisky. Water, Barley and yeast have been used for centuries toproduce Scotland's finest spirit. When put through their paces and then left to rest in an oak cask, they create a unique Whisky, every time. Tri Carragh is about enjoyment and sharing; a dram, a chat, debate or story. We love the history and traditions that Whisky has been part of, and the way it connects and brings people together today.
Tri Carragh Inchgower 16 Years Old 1st Fill Bourbon Barrel
51.7% abv
Huge vanilla notes initially. Butter Cream, fresh fruit, peach, orange zest, fresh grass with hints of toffee apples. The taste continues with the vanilla notes along with tropical fruits like cantaloupe melon (sprinkled with Demerara sugar?). A few spicy notes come through as well such as cinnamon & green cardamom. With water vanilla icing smothered over sponge cake and now vanilla fudge, caramac and vanilla ice cream drizzled with caramel sauce. Flavours continue on the reduced palate if only slightly lighter and smoother …extremely easy to drink!
