Wemyss ‘Melting Moments’ North British 14 Year Old

46% abv

Vol- 70cl

An easy-going single grain, sweetly comforting like all butter shortbread & crumbly tablet.

Despite its gargantuan size, bottlings of North British’s Lowland single grain are generally few and far between, as the distillery’s output mainly goes to co-owners Diageo and Edrington’s many blended whiskies. This Melting Moments Wemyss North British 2007 14-year-old came from a single hogshead cask that yielded 456 bottles.

Founded by William Wemyss in 2005, he utilised his background expertise in premium French wine making and the family’s Scottish roots to begin exploring the blending of quality single malt whiskies.

Whisky, new make spirit, oak casks and mature whisky are expertly sourced by William’s sister, Isabella Wemyss, to produce superior, small-batch blended malt Scotch whiskies.

Wemyss Malts takes a careful and focused approach to blending, using only a small selection of whisky from hand-picked casks to carefully craft distinctive and flavourful blended malt Scotch whiskies (previously known as ‘vatted or ‘pure’ malt Scotch whiskies).

Wemyss Malts utilise core and signature malt whiskies from multiple Scottish regions. They source and mature whisky stock of varying ages for their recipes. This provides the blenders with a plethora of flavours that allow for the crafting of complex blended malt scotch whiskies. The aim is to always delight whisky drinkers with distinctly flavoured recipes whilst always striving for balance and smoothness.
