Bodega Colome Estate Series Salta Torrontes 2025

13.5% abv

Vol- 75cl

Lifted floral aromas, vibrant grapefruit and a subtle hint of spice. The palate is fresh and well-textured, leading to a crisp, clean finish. Elegant and fruit-forward, it shows attractive tropical notes that add brightness and charm.
The extreme altitude and pronounced diurnal range of the Calchaquí Valley create a long, slow growing season while preserving the grapes’ natural acidity. The climate is exceptionally dry, with average annual rainfall of just 120mm. Sandy soils layered with gravel provide excellent drainage, encouraging healthy, balanced vines. The Torrontés is trained on the traditional pergola system at elevations between 1,700 and 2,300 metres above sea level, enhancing freshness and aromatic intensity.

Established in 1831, Bodega Colomé is Argentina’s oldest working winery and home to one of the world’s highest commercial vineyards, Altura Máxima, planted at 3,111 metres above sea level. Thanks to its historic vineyards, remarkable altitude and winemaking precision, the estate has been classified as a ‘First Growth’ by Tim Atkin in his Annual Argentina Report every year since 2020. Located in the Upper Calchaquí Valley in northern Argentina. The estate was founded by Spanish Governor Nicolás Severo de Isasmendi y Echalar. In 1854, his daughter introduced pre-phylloxera Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon vines plantings that are still cultivated today, forming the foundation of one of Argentina’s most respected wineries.
