Bodegas y Viñedos Pujanza Rioja 2021

14% abv

Vol- 75cl

100% tempranillo which is representative of Laguardia, with its freshness and typicity. The fruit is sourced from several different vineyards on clay-limestone solis at altitudes of between 450 and 600 metres above sea level. These vineyards, all owned by Pujanza, are divided into 23 plots which allow for crafting the ideal wine based on the vintage variations.

Vinification: Pre-fermentative maceration for five days. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at between 24 and 26ºC with daily pumping over. Malolactic fermentation is conducted in the same vats.
Cask ageing: 12 months in 225 litre French-oak casks.

“The 2021 Tempranillo Pujanza was sourced from multiple parcels across Laguardia and aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. The nose offers red fruit, fresh cherry, dried flowers and rosehip aromas framed by subtle aging. Ethereal and expressive, this flows with nimble clarity while maintaining structure. The 2021 is a delicate, profound Rioja—almost like an infusion despite its moderate alcohol.” 92 points, Joaquín Hidalgo, Vinous, May 2025
