Clos Martin Armagnac is committed to perpetuating a traditional savoir-faire and has always selected its Armagnac in a pure style, that were produced using small traditional stills to capture the floral and lively aromas of the local grape varieties. The precious liquid, aged in demi-muids or casks, crafted mainly from regional oak, remains unblended in the winegrowers’ cellars until they are ready to see the light again. Our rare eaux-de-vie, supplied by a small group of loyal winegrowers, express the character of the people from Gascony, forged under the influence of the Pyrenees Mountains: Honesty, Pride and Generosity.
Clos Martin Folle Blanche 1985
40% abv
Vol- 70cl
The nose is quite floral and spicy with oaky notes and some dried fruit and violets. Big, full in the mouth with youthful oak and tannin, softening to show some spice, vanilla and a touch of orange zest.
The 1985 Millésime is distilled from a single varietal, the “Folle Blanche”, and comes from a single cask from a single estate, the “Domaine de Courros”. The distillation was carried out in January 1986 by Monsieur Ponsola, one of the region’s professional distillers. The new distillate was transferred to casks made from the local oaks grown on the estate. The precious liquid then waited patiently in the cellars under Denise’s expert eye until it was ready to see the light again.
