The first site of the former Loch Lomond Distillery dates back to 1814, sited at the north end of Loch Lomond near Tarbet (known as Tarbat). Sadly in the old days relatively few paper records were kept and the closing date of this Distillery remains unclear.
The current Loch Lomond Distillery was founded in 1965 by the former owners of the Littlemill Distillery, in Bowling, a few miles up the road towards Glasgow.
Loch Lomond Ben Lomond Raspberry & Elderflower Gin 50cl
38% abv
Vol- 50cl
Distillery’s tasting notes:
Ben Lomond Infused Raspberry & Elderflower Gin utilizes London Dry style gin as a base, to which natural berry and floral essences are added with a touch of sugar to create a delicately balanced, flavoured gin. The raspberry elevates the succulently sweet flavours, while the elderflower adds a unique twist by resonating with the rose botanical utilized during distillation. A prominent juniper profile while simultaneously offering a sweet, slightly herby and delicately floral flavour.
