Located on the stark and beautiful coastline of Dunnet Bay, the most northerly distillery in mainland Britain is perhaps best known for its line of Rock Rose Gin, they also make the delicious Holy Grass Vodka. Established in 2014 by husband and wife team Claire and Martin Murray with a view to create highly singular products, reflective of the area in which they live.
Dunnet Bay's custom-made British copper still, Elizabeth, allows botanics to be vapour-infused in a steam basket at the neck. Botanicals are harvested locally and include Rhodiola Rosea, Rowan Berries, Blaeberries and Sea Buckthorn to name a few. They also make us of a GeoDome greenhouse onsite which allows them to grow their own botanicals for limited and seasonal batches of gin.
