The Old Curiosity Distillery’s Christmas gin is distilled with ginger, cinnamon and cardamom which gives the undeniably familiar smell of Christmas and provides a festive spicy flavour. The drink is infused with mallow petals to provide a distinctive festive colour which transforms to a vibrant pink when mixed with tonic water; the perfect showstopper for any virtual Christmas party. The seasonal gin is smooth and elegant with a light base. For a real festive feel, garnish with a slice of dried orange peel, a cinnamon stick and a dash of tonic to witness the glorious colour change.

The newest addition to the Secret Garden Gin collection, Wild, is a tribute to the Flow Country and the work of the RSPB. The gin is distilled with nine wild botanicals, some of which can be found in the world’s largest blanket bog in the northern tip of Scotland. The bog acts as a natural store for carbon, holding twice that of all the trees in the UK, helping to offset the effects of climate change. A twist on the classic London dry gin, Wild allows the flavours of the indigenous herbs to come through in the taste and aroma, resulting in a beautifully complex and balanced gin. Alongside juniper Wild is created with freshly distilled sweet cicely, bog myrtle, dwarf birch, angelica root, winter savory, wooden avens, sweet woodruff, yarrow and nettle. Most of which are grown and cultivated in our very own Secret Gin Garden to ensure it does not disrupt the delicate ecosystem of the Flow Country.

Hamish, a wine merchant, began to pursue his lifelong passion for plants by gaining a Herbology Diploma. Alongside Liberty’s passion for all things vintage the overgrown lowlands became an award-winning herb nursery, local arts centre, shop and café. The Secret Herb Garden has over 600 naturally grown and tendered varieties of herbs that have been used in the production of many wonderful natural products: candles, beer, wine, and herbal salts among them. As well as providing top Edinburgh restaurants with unique natural ingredients. With over 30 year’s experience in the drinks trade and a passion for creating unique tipples from glorious natural ingredients, Hamish began experimenting. Beginning with Apothecary Rose, an ancient ingredient in tinctures and tonics, he discovered a natural reaction that can only be explained by the magic of nature: a natural colour change, the magical beginning of Secret Garden Gin. Over time Hamish developed many more concoctions of fine gin and hand-grown herbs, then took to exploring a barn full of curious things. Among the odds and sods, and the bits and bobs, Old Curiosity Distillery was founded in 2017.

What do I pay for delivery?

Orders under £150 are charged an initial £9.95 incl. VAT.

Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly.
Orders under £190 are charged an initial £12.00 incl.

All stock bought from Bond will be charged at delivery cost as quoted by the bond. As this varies dependent on the location of the wines and ultimate destination this will be quoted to you at the point of billing for VAT and duty.

And can we change order.

Deliveries are normally between 09.00 and 17.00 Tuesday to Friday and a signature is required on receipt of delivery. (We do not ship on a Friday for Monday delivery unless specifically requested to do so).

A shipping confirmation email will be sent when your order has been processed and shipped. You will be sent a further email and/or text with a delivery time slot and a consignment number along with instructions on how to amend this if required.

If you are out a card is left, with an instruction to call the local depot to re-arrange delivery. Alternatively, you can inform us to “leave safe”, “leave with a neighbour”, “leave in garage” etc. and we will pass this information onto the courier. Please remember that, in accordance with our Terms & Conditions, alcohol will only be left with persons over 18 Years Old.

We use Mailsafe packaging and double walled cardboard boxes for secure shipping of all bottles. Clear labelling marked FRAGILE is applied and all our despatches.

UK mainland deliveries are overnight from confirmation of despatch with the exception of the following postcodes where deliveries are made on a 2 to 5 day service from despatch :
