Terroir Sonoro El Perseguidor Malbec 2016

14% abv

This is a deep and layered wine on the nose. Black fruit, fallen leaves overlap with spicy notes and cavendishtabacco. The palate is round, silky, with a touch of natural acidity in this malbec that bodes well aging.

140 years old plantation of Malbec grapes in a monovarietal, low bush ungrafted and dry farmed vines without any other management than the prunning and mechanical weed control. Granitic soil with a spots of sand and silt in soft hills with east exposure

Winemaking: Grapes are hand picked and desteemed in a trational but improved zaranda that use plastic material instead “colihue wood” sticks over an open tank. The fermentation occurs in a termo controlled process, between 16 and 18 Celsius degrees with daily punch down. In ageing the wine receive the vibrations of music composed for this particular vintage inside the barrels.

Viña Inéditas - Terroir Sonoro, is the culmination of 24 years of exploration by oenologist, winemaker and musician Juan José Ledesma. His aim, is to show the diversity and characteristics of the land that he tended in the Itata Valley. Music is not just a hobby for Juan, it plays an integral part in the winemaking process. Several years ago, he had an epiphany and decided to place water proof speakers in the barrels of each wine, thus creating what he calls sonic battonage. But at Terroir Sonoro, they go one step further. After an initial tasting of the press wine, and several improvisations and rehearsals, they then record a unique piece of music for several of the wines every harvest and this is then played inside the barrel. NB this is not done for every wine. Terroir Sonoro made a beguiling mixture of slightly off the beaten track wines, be that skin contact or wines under flor, to very classic wines designed to show the essence of purity of the grapes grown in the Biobio region and especially the Itata Valley where they are based and where most of their wines comes from. Itata is fast becoming the hottest ticket in Chile and Terroir Sonoro have fast gained recognition as one of the most interesting and dynamic wineries on the scene.

What do I pay for delivery?

Orders under £150 are charged an initial £9.95 incl. VAT.

Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly.
Orders under £190 are charged an initial £12.00 incl.

All stock bought from Bond will be charged at delivery cost as quoted by the bond. As this varies dependent on the location of the wines and ultimate destination this will be quoted to you at the point of billing for VAT and duty.

And can we change order.

Deliveries are normally between 09.00 and 17.00 Tuesday to Friday and a signature is required on receipt of delivery. (We do not ship on a Friday for Monday delivery unless specifically requested to do so).

A shipping confirmation email will be sent when your order has been processed and shipped. You will be sent a further email and/or text with a delivery time slot and a consignment number along with instructions on how to amend this if required.

If you are out a card is left, with an instruction to call the local depot to re-arrange delivery. Alternatively, you can inform us to “leave safe”, “leave with a neighbour”, “leave in garage” etc. and we will pass this information onto the courier. Please remember that, in accordance with our Terms & Conditions, alcohol will only be left with persons over 18 Years Old.

We use Mailsafe packaging and double walled cardboard boxes for secure shipping of all bottles. Clear labelling marked FRAGILE is applied and all our despatches.

UK mainland deliveries are overnight from confirmation of despatch with the exception of the following postcodes where deliveries are made on a 2 to 5 day service from despatch :
