Dezat is one of the oldest winegrower families in the Sancerre area, with history dating back to the 16th century. André DEZAT took over the family business in 1948, and his sons Louis and Simon developed it, notably with the exploitation of the Pouilly Fumé appellation in the 80s, then Menetou-Salon in 2006. Today, siblings Stephanie and Arnaud Dezat, Louis' daughter and son, create their own estate in the township of Verdigny followign an amicable, 3rd generation split in the domaine. They perpetuate this heritage, and are committed to offering the authentic wines that have made the reputation of "DEZAT" wines for decades. The Dezat winemaking philosophy is to produce wines that both reflect the region’s terroir as well as respect the land. Together, Stephanie and Arnaud manage 22.5 hectares (about 56 acres) across 3 appellations: Menetou, Sancerre and Pouilly Fumé. They value the respect for nature through the HVE certification (underway), putting forward their lands, respecting its fauna and flora but also all the biodiversity that constitutes it.

Vol- 75cl
For Arnaud & Stèphanie Dezat winemaking is in their blood having worked with their father and uncle at the highly regarded former André Dezat domaine they have gone their own way to great aplomb. They’re fortunate to have excellent vineyard sites sitting on limestone and flinty soils from where they nurture top quality fruit. For this cuvée they give the wine a long temperature controlled fermentation in stainless steel followed by 2 months ageing on fine lees to impart the required flavour charactersitics. This vintage has classic fresh, crisp citrus, white flowers and softer fruit flavours backed up with a delicate minerality and well-balanced clean acidity.
