Chateau La Tour Carnet, owned by Bernard Magrez, is one of the oldest Bordeaux wine producers that has remained continually active. The chateau is also one of the oldest structures in the region; some parts date back to the 11th century, and it is one of the few remaining Bordeaux estates to have a working moat and drawbridge. When the property was first taken over by Bernard Magrez in 1999, the estate had only 44 hectares of vines. By 2018, their holdings had increased to 190 hectares. It is now the biggest property in the 1855 classification, in which it is a Fourth Growth.
Chateau La Tour Carnet Haut-Medoc Grand Cru Classe 2019

Vol- 75cl
“The 2019 La Tour Carnet has turned out beautifully. Dark, pliant and super-expressive, the 2019 possesses tremendous richness as well as character. Dark cherry, plum, mocha, leather, spice, licorice, iron and dried herbs infuse the 2019 with gorgeous layers of dimension. La Tour Carnet is a consistently outstanding bottle, as it is again in 2019.” 93 points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous.
