Located 10 kilometres from the Gironde estuary in the Northern Médoc, Château Patache d’Aux has a rich winemaking heritage that dates to the mid-17th century. Purchased by Antoine Moueix Propriétés in 2016 and classified as a Cru Bourgeois, the estate has since undergone significant investment, including a transition to sustainable viticulture, the construction of a new cellar in 2017, and a new winemaking team led by technical director Lucie Lauilhé and young and dynamic winemaker Giacomo Piubello. All these efforts resulted in the elevation to the rank of Cru Bourgeois Supérieur in the new ranking published in February 2025. The estate has 63 hectares planted with 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 44% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot, split over three distinct geological sites.

Chateau Patache d’Aux Medoc Cru Bourgeois 2017

This wine is deep purple in colour. The nose is bright, with blackberries aromas underlined with hints of liquorice. The palate is structured and supported by smooth tannins. The finish is fresh and long-lasting.
