Formed in 2010, Diez Siglos is a collective of around 70 small to medium growers - who are working together to continue the winemaking traditions of Rueda. They use their combined expertise, their best vineyards, and a new winery with the latest technology to produce great wines typical of the region.Verdejo is at the heart of what they do - the clue is in the name - and their wines are structured and bright with fruit at the fore.
Diez Siglos de Verdejo Momento Gran Vino 2020

‘Momento’ is sourced from three select vineyards with an average age of 45 years. Fermentation is carried out between stainless steel and French oak barrels, the final blend a beautiful balance of fruit, minerality, texture and structure.
The best quality grapes are sourced from re-grafted old bush vines, planted on gravel soils. Grapes are picked at night to ensure they are cool when they reach the winery. Fermented for 22 days at 14 ºC, then kept on fine lees for 4 months before bottling.
The nose is elegant and complex, hinting at apricot, pear and melon with additional notes of fennel, white flowers and honeysuckle. It’s the texture defines this wine though: silky, supple and minerally, it rolls on the tongue releasing soft stone-fruit, floral and herbal flavours with a gentle acidity cleansing the palate.
Try with creamy chicken or pasta dishes, or even soft cheeses and patés.
