Vol- 75cl

Situated just above “Champgains”, on marl and limestone soils, the vineyard of “La Garenne” benefits from an ideal south-easterly exposure. In ancient French ‘La Garenne’ means a wood surrounded by walls reserved for the lord of the manor for hunting of small game in particular rabbit (the origin of the expression ‘lapin de garenne’).

Passed on from generation to generation, Domaine Moingeon André et Fils is a family domaine that continues to endeavour to improve the quality of its wines. This starts in the vineyards, high-quality grapes are carefully and selectively picked, yields are limited through pruning of the vines and removing unwanted buds, and pesticide use is limited. Based in Saint-Aubin, Côte de Beaune, their range of white and red wine ranges from village to premiers crus. With a history of more than a century will immerse you in a traditional family context that has grown over generations, including prestigious appellations of Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet. Established in the 1950s by André Moingeon, though specific vine parcels have been in the family for more than 150 years. André welcomed his son Michel in 1978, and currently, his grandson Florent has joined the team. Together, they've expanded the domaine to cover 10 hectares of vines in the St. Aubin region. The domaine's approach is contemporary and approachable, offering wines that are both modern and easy to enjoy, while the Puligny maintains its characteristic taut minerality. Only 50% of the annual harvest is bottled, and Michel maintains that prices are amongst the lowest in St. Aubin...and indeed, Puligny!
