Domaine René Cacheux is tiny – just 3.26 hectares – but they have some very fine vineyards in the heart of the village of Vosne-Romanée. Here, old vines are tended with the utmost care, producing some very pure expressions of this acclaimed terroir.
The adventure of this small family farm nestled in the heart of the village of Vosne-Romanée, rich in know-how for 4 generations, began with the arrival of François Blée in Vosne-Romanée at the beginning of the last century. It continued with his son Charles who, while ensuring his position as manager at Romanée Saint Vivant - then owned by General Marey-Monge - succeeded his father and with his wife Hélène increased the area of ??the estate.
In 1966, the farm was divided between the two daughters of Charles and Hélène.
The youngest, Jacqueline, a very young bride, created the Domaine René CACHEUX-BLEE with her husband René CACHEUX.
Their son Gérald, after an experience of 18 years acquired in various wineries from the region, took over from his parents in 2004. He now runs the Domaine René CACHEUX & Fils.
