Fortunate Son wines are an ongoing side project for Jayson Woodbridge of Hundred Acre; produced partially from fruit from the Hundred Acre Vineyards complemented by family vineyards from the Napa that Jayson farms and purchases grapes from per acre. From the 2021 vintage, Fortunate Son has its own dedicated Winery in St Helena located in the newly restored, historic David Fulton Ranch.

Fortunate Son ‘The Dreamer’ [x] 2018
15.5% abv
Coming from two vineyards, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon The Dreamer sports a vivid purple hue to go with beautiful aromatics of darker currants, ripe cranberries, leafy tobacco, and spring flowers. I love its balance, it’s medium to full-bodied, has gorgeous tannins, and a great finish. 96 points – Jeb Dunnock
Sourced from small, family vineyards, (in some cases for 3-4 generations) that are farmed with great care and attention. Made in very small amounts and combined from blocks of vineyards where they make a perfect combination of power, complexity and layers that give the wine incredible character and elegance. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged for 30-32 months in the finest French oak barrique. The stave wood is hand-selected for ultra-tight grain, then air dried for three years before being made into barrels.
