Heaphy Vineyard is a small winery in the north-west corner of New Zealand’s South Island, a region named Nelson Tasman. The winery is situated high above Tasman Bay on the Moutere Hills, where 10ha of long-established vineyards are defined by Moutere’s signature clay soils. First planted in 1973, the vines are amongst the very oldest productive vineyards in New Zealand.

A nose of fresh ginger, cardamom and jasmine over a rich palate of juicy lime, red apple and stone fruit, with generous mouthfeel and texture in the finish. Feels like lounging in the sun.
Heaphy Riesling comes from 30 & 50 year old unirrigated vines grown on Moutere clay soils, the wine is a delightful red apple and lime combo whose generous body and lifted aromatics. Harvested in late February then crushed to tank, settled and racked, then allowed to settle on fine lees for eight months prior to bottling.
Fish tacos with zesty lime, chicken, sushi or cauliflower wings with blue cheese sauce.
