The Casks Of Lindores 2, Bourbon cask. It is a Limited Bottling from Lindores Abbey Distillery. The first release within the second instalment of this excellent series is this delightful single malt whisky, matured in ex-bourbon casks with this expression containing older whisky than the first release. Lovely notes of ripe banana, pears and vanilla on the nose, with a touch of peppery spice. Another superb release from Lindores Abbey Distillery, bottled at 49.4% vol.

Nose: Pleasant mellow, fruity apples, ripe banana, sweet pears and vanilla, buttercream and caramel notes with subtle citrus touches
Palate: Fruity green apples, citrus lemon, banana, oaky woody notes, coffee beans and spicy peppery touches. Pleasant silky texture.
Finish: Medium length finish.

Distilling was taking place on this site at least as early as 1494, although it was most probably happening long before that. We know this because of the earliest written reference to Scotch Whisky (or Aqua Vitae, as it was then known), which appears in the Exchequer Roll of the same year. It mentioned a Brother John Cor, a Lindores monk, who was commissioned by King James IV to turn 8 bolls of malt into Aqua Vitae. 8 Bolls of malt amounts to around 500kg in modern terms and would have been enough to make about 400 bottles of today’s whisky. In 2017, spirit started flowing once again from copper stills at Lindores Abbey Distillery. Learning as much as they can from the great Scottish distillers around them, past and present, and from others much further afield, they are looking forward to bringing a very modern whisky-making approach to this ancient site.

What do I pay for delivery?

Orders under £150 are charged an initial £9.95 incl. VAT.

Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly.
Orders under £190 are charged an initial £12.00 incl.

All stock bought from Bond will be charged at delivery cost as quoted by the bond. As this varies dependent on the location of the wines and ultimate destination this will be quoted to you at the point of billing for VAT and duty.

And can we change order.

Deliveries are normally between 09.00 and 17.00 Tuesday to Friday and a signature is required on receipt of delivery. (We do not ship on a Friday for Monday delivery unless specifically requested to do so).

A shipping confirmation email will be sent when your order has been processed and shipped. You will be sent a further email and/or text with a delivery time slot and a consignment number along with instructions on how to amend this if required.

If you are out a card is left, with an instruction to call the local depot to re-arrange delivery. Alternatively, you can inform us to “leave safe”, “leave with a neighbour”, “leave in garage” etc. and we will pass this information onto the courier. Please remember that, in accordance with our Terms & Conditions, alcohol will only be left with persons over 18 Years Old.

We use Mailsafe packaging and double walled cardboard boxes for secure shipping of all bottles. Clear labelling marked FRAGILE is applied and all our despatches.
