For over 50 years Nonino have been considered the trailblazers of Grappa production. Traditionally Grappa was a cheap spirit made quickly from pumace (the post-ferment grape skins after wine production) with little consideration for quality. Benito Nonino recognised that Grappas produced from specific grape varieties, especially from Friuli, produced special distillates and in 1973 was the first to craft and market the first single varietal Grappa. Since then Nonino has become regonised as the leader in quality Grappa production and their distillates are now found in Michelin starred restaurants the world over.
Nonino Grappa Friulana 43
43% abv
Vol- 70cl
Obtained from selected pomace of white and red grapes from Friuli.
Batch method in copper steam, the result of Benito Nonino’s innovation and continuous research, which with the elimination of heads and tails allows the selection of the purest part of Grappa: the heart. Distillation takes place very slowly to allow the volatile components, responsible of the fragrances, a proper evaporation and the consequent condensation preserving the precious organoleptic characteristics.
Typical, elegant, fragrance of bread crust and licorice.
