Spirit of Scotland is a historic and collectible Scotch whisky brand, known for its rare blended and single malt expressions, originally bottled by Gordon & MacPhail and recently revived in 2025. History and Background Spirit of Scotland whisky was first introduced in the late 1980s by independent bottlers Gordon & MacPhail, primarily for export markets such as Italy, the USA, Japan, and Denmark. Early bottlings included notable single cask releases from distilleries like Port Ellen and Ardbeg, often for private importers and restaurants. The brand was initially bottled under the Speymalt Whisky Distributors name and ran until around 2014. In 2025, the label was revived with a new design and single cask releases from distilleries including Glen Grant, Annandale, and Caol Ila, bottled at full cask strength without coloring or chill filtration.
