The Orökség range is the estate’s range selected from mainly older stocks with strict yield restrictions. Brimful of vibrant aromas and flavors, mainly with notes of ripe sour cherries and cherries. A real Kékfrankos (Blaufrankish) character, aged in older and larger oak to ensure a clarityand purity of fruit.
A key member of the Örökség (Heritage) series, made from grapes grown on the loamy, clay-rich soils typical of Szekszárd, with strict yield restrictions and primarily from old vines from the Szenta Hill, Gurovica and Decsi Hill vineyards. After controlled tank fermentation, the wine spent 18 months ageing in 500-litre Hungarian and French oak barrels. The result is elegant and vibrant. The nose exudes cherry, sour cherry, subtly smoky and spicy notes. On the palate, the wine reveals vibrant acidity, light fruitiness and a medium finish. A surprisingly lively wine from a very hot vintage.
