57.9% abv
Vol- 70cl
Nose: Caramelised banana and wood char with elderflower and juniper. Toasted oak and custard cream in milky chai tea.
Palate: Viscous with juniper and peppercorns set off against sweeter notes of rich tea biscuits, cherry and nutmeg spice.
Finish: Lingering dry spice with more herbal notes coming through.
Distilled at Glenlossie distillery in 2008 and aged for 14 years in a single barrel, which yielded a total of 249 bottles.
Founded in 1876, this little-known Speysider produces a grassy, fruity, oily spirit that is much sought after in blends – so much so that it’s rarely seen as a single malt.
