This Carignan comes from the Ránquil area in the Itata Valley, a region known for its heritage vineyards and dry-farmed viticulture. The vines are over 80 years old, head-trained and ungrafted, planted on gentle granitic slopes that offer excellent drainage and limit vigor, leading to naturally low yields. These old vines produce concentrated, expressive grapes that reflect the character of the Itata terroir—freshness, tension, and a deep sense of place.

“The 2022 Lomas Coloradas is another standout in the lineup, showcasing a beautiful bouquet of black fruits, tobacco leaves and dried flowers. The palate is soft, rich and seamless, leading to a serious, grippy, tenacious finish marked by staining fruit intensity enlivened by succulent acidity. Like the 2023 vintage, this dramatically evolves in the glass even in a short span and could merit a higher rating with time in the cellar.” 2024 – 2032

Grapes were manually harvested at the end of March. It was fermented in stainless steel tanks with native yeasts. The wine remained for approximately 15 days in the vats and then was aged for 12 months in old barrels.

Deep red color with violet hues. The nose is intense and elegant, showing aromas of ripe black fruits such as plum and blackberry, alongside floral notes, wild herbs, and a subtle mineral background. On the palate, it is concentrated yet fresh, with firm, polished tannins, vibrant acidity, and a juicy texture. The finish is long, with great tension and persistent fruit character.

Ana Maria Cumsille

Ana Maria Cumsille has been making wine for multiple decades starting out at commercial wineries. She fell in love with Itata and over the years made friends with several families who farm small parcels of old bush vines in the Itata subregions of Guarilihue, Cerro Verde, Trehuaco, and Ranquil. Ana Maria decided to start buying fruit from these families so she could make single vineyard wines from different, small vineyards that grow Carignan, Cinsault, Pais, and Malbec among other varietals. Ana Maria is a lover of the outdoors and she lives in Santiago and is deeply involved in the Chilean wine scene. Recognised as ‘Winemaker Revelation of the Year 2023’ by Descorchados and one of the world’s top 100 winemakers by The Drinks business, Ana Maria has fast become one of the leading lights in the Chilean wine scene and a true champion of the wines of Itata.

What do I pay for delivery?

Orders under £150 are charged an initial £9.95 incl. VAT.

Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly.
Orders under £190 are charged an initial £12.00 incl.

All stock bought from Bond will be charged at delivery cost as quoted by the bond. As this varies dependent on the location of the wines and ultimate destination this will be quoted to you at the point of billing for VAT and duty.

And can we change order.

Deliveries are normally between 09.00 and 17.00 Tuesday to Friday and a signature is required on receipt of delivery. (We do not ship on a Friday for Monday delivery unless specifically requested to do so).

A shipping confirmation email will be sent when your order has been processed and shipped. You will be sent a further email and/or text with a delivery time slot and a consignment number along with instructions on how to amend this if required.

If you are out a card is left, with an instruction to call the local depot to re-arrange delivery. Alternatively, you can inform us to “leave safe”, “leave with a neighbour”, “leave in garage” etc. and we will pass this information onto the courier. Please remember that, in accordance with our Terms & Conditions, alcohol will only be left with persons over 18 Years Old.

We use Mailsafe packaging and double walled cardboard boxes for secure shipping of all bottles. Clear labelling marked FRAGILE is applied and all our despatches.

UK mainland deliveries are overnight from confirmation of despatch with the exception of the following postcodes where deliveries are made on a 2 to 5 day service from despatch :
