On the shores of the Dornoch Firth, close to the historic town of Tain, Glenmorangie is one of the most recognisable names in the world of single malt Scotch whisky. Glenmorangie boasts the tallest stills in Scotland, based on the design of 19th century gin stills from London and were installed when the distillery was founded in the 1840s. Such tall stills, famously as tall as giraffes, create a relatively light and floral spirit but sufficiently complex enough to cope with a wide array of cask finishes.
Glenmorangie LaSanta 12 Years Old
43% abv
Vol- 70cl
The full, sweet flavour typical of Spanish sherry with sultanas, orange segments, walnuts and butter toffee. The bite of hazelnut tasted through a chocolate coating, spice notes and hints of leather add the overwhelming sense of richness. Lasanta is Gaelic for warmth and passion, a reminder not just of the Spanish provenance of these Oloroso sherry butts, but also a reflection of this expressions lusciously soft texture and deep, enticingly sweet aroma.
