Situated at the top of the picturesque Franschhoek valley with spectacular mountain views, Holden Manz Wine Estate lies nestled amongst a selection of wine farms. This 22 hectare winery can be found between the Franschhoek and Stony Brook rivers and features lovely fertile, dark loam soils, a Mediterranean climate and a state-of-the-art winery. The recent addition of 50 kW of solar panels has significantly reduced energy consumption – a big step in their ongoing commitment to sustainable production practises.

Brilliant bright ruby red centre. Nose shows prune juice, raspberries, cherries, mulberry, cigar box, white peppercorns and strawberry sherbet. Beautiful ripe, soft and silky tannins with good balance and a lingering finish. Cassis, ripe raspberries, tobacco, herbaceous notes and pencil shavings are prominent. Pair with slow cooked lamb stew or your favourite pizza/pasta dish.
The Vernissage is produced using grapes exclusively from the Holden Manz Wine Estate in Franschhoek. A blend of 35% Shiraz, 33% Merlot and 32% Cabernet Sauvignon which spent 18 months in 3rd fill 225 litre French oak barrels. Berries undergo a relatively short cold maceration before being fermented in steel tanks prior to post-fermentation maceration
