I Pentri takes its name from an ancient Samnite Tribe and is based in the Benevento province of Campania with 10 hectares of terraced vineyards on the hillsides of Monte Taburno. Husband-and-wife team Dionisio Meola and Lia Falato founded the winery in 2002 after 20 years experience of tending vines and the land in this area close to their hearts. Vineyards are tended and harvested by hand. No chemicals are used and natural biodynamic practices are followed with minimal interventions in the winery. Wines are fermented with wild yeasts and bottled unfined and unfiltered.
I Pentri Flora Falanghina 2023
14.5% abv
“The 2023 Falanghina Flora displays a glistening golden hue. It entices with a pretty mix of wildflowers, stone dust, apricots and sweet smoke on the nose. Ripe in style, the palate offers a core of juicy acidity to balance an opulent wave of orchard fruits that sweeps across the senses, leaving a tinge of citrusy spice. Long yet energetic, the 2023 leaves a lasting impression as nuances of nectarine and a hint of sour melon fade. Pure Falanghina seduction in a glass.” 2025 – 2030

A hit of ginger and iced fennel introduce the Flora Falalnghina. Zesty with pear, nectarine and green mango. The fruits are framed by an intense zip of crushed citrus pithiness and the candied plumpness of textural density is balanced on a long blade of flourescent vivacity.
Wild fermented in stainless steel and aged on the lees. A selection from older vines on a higher proportion of clay with limestone and sandstone.
