Rare Whisky 101 Springbank 27 Year Old (Mouse Fight) + Limited Edition Print

46% abv

Vol- 50cl

A tongue-in-cheek collector’s curiosity, the “Mouse Fight” bottle—infamously linked to a viral label featuring two duelling mice—may be more famous for its story than its sip. But behind the humour lies a whisky that still delivers intrigue in the glass.

A gentle opening of dried apricot and honeycomb gives way to soft oak, light tobacco, and a faint whiff of old leather books—elegantly aged, yet playful. Silky on entry, with notes of stewed apples, vanilla fudge, and toasted hazelnuts. Mid-palate brings warming spice—clove and cinnamon—with a touch of herbal lift, possibly hinting at sherry cask influence. Medium-length, fading on orange peel, soft malt, and a trace of dusty cocoa. Subtle but charming, like the label that launched a thousand chuckles.

Whether mythical or misunderstood, the “Mouse Fight” dram is a collector’s conversation piece with a palate that punches well above its provenance. Sip it with a grin—and maybe a fact-check.
